Experts from analytical agency IHS iSuppli summarized the results of the fourth quarter 2011 market of flash memory chips and NAND. Despite the slight decline for the third quarter, the lead once again went to the South Korean manufacturer Samsung, which released more than a third of all products of this type during the reporting period.
The second ranking line went to Toshiba, which accounts for about 30% of all manufactured chips.
Micron and Hynix on the contrary, note the positive trend. Micron holds the third position, controlling 19.6% of the market chip NAND, in cash terms by 11.7% more than in the third quarter 2011. Hynix was able to earn 5.4% more and increase its share to 13.3%. More detailed results can be explored in the table below.
