Some of the media this month drawn attention to the rapid growth of traffic generated by mobile devices. This phenomenon is due to the growing popularity of smartphones and tablets and the tendency to use mobile phones as the only device with network access in developing countries of Asia and Africa. Personal computers and tablets, no matter how hard producers push in these regions remain relatively expensive for poor people around the world, and the network infrastructure in many parts of the world is represented only by cellular networks.
According to Adobe Systems report , the traffic generated by the tablet grows in volume ten times faster than is the case with the first two years after the mass market smartphones. Customers are much more likely to visit sites with tablets than with smartphones. At this rate of growth in 2013 tablet traffic will exceed the smartphone traffic, and by 2014 up to 10% of world traffic will be generated by Tablet devices.
Many users find the tablet convenient to surf the web, as well as desktop computers or laptops.
