Associate shared interesting observations of Gartner experts, who in November last year conducted a survey of 510 tablets owners in order to identify their preferences. Study participants lived in the U.S., UK and Australia.
As it turned out, more than half of tablet owners prefer to give up paper books and periodicals, using them instead of electronic copies. Only 13% of owners use the laptop for a similar purpose, and only 7% of respondents read books with the help of mobile phones and smartphones.
The tablets are mainly used inside the house, while smartphones are more extensive. On average, respondents used a smart phone eight times a day, a tablet - twice a day, a laptop - three times a day. Buying a tablet usually increases the time spent by the user on the web. In bed, watching television tablet are more likely than other mobile devices.
