Less than a year left before the release of Intel's processors Haswell featuring LGA 1150.  Along with the new CPU socket, there will be new motherboards and, accordingly new chipsets, which are now known under the code name Lynx Point.   For the consumer sector, Intel will offer the model Z87, H87, H81, the characteristics of solutions are listed in the table below.  It is interesting that the possibility of CPU overclocking will be characterized only motherboards based on chipset Z87. Note that in the older models supported SATA ports with a throughput of 6 Gb / s will increase to six pieces, but the chipset will support up to 4 ports USB 3.0.  Similarly, the chipsets are arranged for corporate customers - Q87, Q85, and B85. The differences between the typical TDP values of Mobile Haswell processors will be more important than ever before. The most cold solution  are for ultrabooks . These chips combine two processing cores, DDR3 memory controller, , graphics system (GT1, GT2 and GT3) and hub input / output (PCH) Lynx Point, but it will allocate no more than 15 watts of heat during operation. In the second stage are the processors for classic notebook.  In this case, the PCH will be executed as a separate chip, but the CPU will have 2 or 4 cores.  In the first variant TDP is 37 watts, the second - 47 watts. Finally, for a powerful notebook, positioned as a replacement for a desktop PC, Intel offer processors with a TDP of 57 watts.   Related Products :
