The appearance of video card AMD Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition motivated AMD partners . Gigabyte presented the GV-R797TO-3GD . In comparison with the previous model, GV-R797OC-3GD , video card does not have fundamental differences: the cooling is WindForce 3X with three fans, the product takes up two expansion slots, and has the same layout of PCB elements . Both models are able to display image through a single port DVI, one HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort.  GV-R797TO-3GD is characterized by higher clock speeds. Tahiti graphics processor operates at 1100 MHz , it is connected to the 3GB GDDR5 memory chips with 384-bit interface which operate at an effective frequency of 6000 MHz. Video card is equipped with a proprietary tool OC Guru II, which allow to monitor the status of product, adjust the GPU and memory power settings , as well as update the BIOS firmware .
