After the price reduction for Intel processors in 22 April the wholesale cost Of celeron D 336 (2.8 GHz) was reduced to $34, making this processor similar in price to the Celeron D 331 (2.66 GHz). Since the co-existence of two processors with different frequencies and identical price cannot arrange Intel company , this speak that one of those processor will be removed from production soon .
According to official notice from Intel site , under current architectural update , Intel will immediately remove both processors - Celeron D 336 (2.8 GHz) and Celeron D 331 (2.66 GHz). Program on their removal based will began on May 3, 2007. We already know that Intel actively reduces the price of processors with netBurst architecture .
These processors were made on 90 nm technical process, they had time to pass on stepping E0 and G1. It is possible to order those processors until September 7, 2007, the last party of box processors will be dispatched on December 7, 2007, OEM processors will be supplied until May 9, 2008.
