AMD introduced a new line of professional graphics accelerators based on the architecture Graphics Core Next (GCN). Â It consisted of accelerators AMD FirePro W9000, W8000, W7000 and W5000.
Contrary to the assumptions , the video card AMD FirePro W9000 was not two-chip product for the professional segment, and, judging by the specifications, it is the analog of desktop  HD 7900.  AMD introduced this accelerator as the most productive among the professional graphics card, which is characterized by a capacity of 4 TFLOPS single precision operations, and 1 TFLOPS - double that previously attributed to the two-chip version.
New items, as well as the entire FirePro cards line  , designed to work with CAD-and CAE-applications, 3D-modeling and other professional calculations.
The accelerators support modern technology AMD - Eyefinity (except for model W5000), ZeroCore, PowerTune. Â Maximum resolution is 4096 × 2160 pixels.
W9000, carries a 6 GB of GDDR5 memory , memory bus 384 bit capacity of 264 GB / s and is characterized by a TDP of 274 w .
W8000 and W7000 models are equipped with 4 GB of memory and have a width of 256 bits bus with a capacity of 176 and 154 Gb / s, respectively. Â W8000 have a capacity of 3,23 TFLOPS on operations with single precision and 806 GFLOPS - double; W7000, in turn, is characterized by a modest 2,4 TFLOPS and 152 GFLOPS. Â TDP for models W8000 and W7000 is at a level less than 225 watts and less than 150 W, respectively.
The lowest model W5000 limited memory capacity of 2 GB and bus width of 256 bits with a capacity of 102.4 GB / s. Â Â
AMD has evaluated new products in the amount of $ 3,999, $ 1,599, $ 899 and $ 599 for the W9000, W8000, W7000 and W5000, respectively.
