Intel's generation Ivy Bridge-E, which will only be available in a year, will not have problems with PCI Express 3.0 support. The controller will provide each processor supports 40 lines PCI Express 3.0, which is enough to work with three graphics cards simultaneously. Ivy Bridge processors LGA 1155 provides support for PCI Express 3.0 now, but it is only about 16 lines.
Processors Ivy Bridge-E will be also able to work with a four-channel DDR3-1866 memory. These processors will have LGA 2011 performance and compatibility with Intel X79.
