Generation of Intel Ivy Bridge-E processors is already available. Now we see the first all overclocking of a processor configured with 22-nm transistors. In April, for example, it became known that the model Intel Core i7-4960X (Ivy Bridge-E) at a frequency of 3.6 GHz is ahead of its predecessor - Core i7-3970X (Sandy Bridge-E), operating at a frequency of 3.5 GHz - an average of 5 -7%.
Both these models have been overclocked to 4.5 GHz. The memory is running at an effective frequency of 3 GHz, and four GeForce GTX 770 graphics cards in 4-way NVIDIA SLI. At the same frequency Intel Core i7-4960X overclocked was on average faster than its predecessor by 2.5%.
