Atom Processor, is used mainly in netbooks, the popularity of this computers type has been steadily declining.   Faced with the ultimate loss of interest in netbooks, Intel will actively promote Atom processors in the server segment.  For this application are developed special processors Centerton , which will be released on 32 nm technology.  They do not require a separate chip chipset, and memory controller will support ECC.  TDP Level of Centerton processors will not exceed 6 W, which is one of the main advantages over Xeon. The support for Centerton ready to provide HP and Quanta , the first back-end systems based on them will be released before the end of this year.  ARM architecture processors in the server segment moving more slowly - experts expect that competition in the server market with low energy consumption escalates in 2013-2014.
