The Russian overclockers team TEAM RUSSIA, Smoke and Slamms, overclocked serial processor Intel Core i7-3770K to the frequency of 7012 MHz. Among processors that are not engineering samples, is not common.
In order to achieve this record were used nitrogen cooling and 1.96 volts. There was a selection between over 200 processors. And each of the candidates passed the tests of the 5-GHz ability at a supply voltage 1.24 V in the air to load Windows and stay alive.
Of course, the conquest of new high frequency was a good opportunity to set a record in the test SuperPi. At a frequency of 6991 MHz processor Intel Core i7-3770K completed the test in 5 seconds 156 ms, which is more than the previous record on the same processor, set two months ago (5 seconds 140 ms.). Thus, overclockers from Russia took third place in the SuperPi benchmark processor Intel Core i7-3770K and fourth place in the global ranking. What congratulate them!
