Microsoft has published a report for the last quarter, which ended 30 Sept. Income for the period amounted to 16.01 billion dollars. Operating profit is 5.31 billion dollars, net - 4.47 billion.
The results of the quarter reflect the deferred revenue of $ 1.36 billion related to the sale of licenses for the operating system upgrade (Windows Upgrade Offer), pre-sell Windows 8 via OEM and sale of office software on concessional terms (Office Offer).
Subdivision Server & Tools Division has brought 4.55 billion dollars in revenue, up 8% more than during the same period. Especially highlighted the sales of SQL Server and the decisions of System Center, where growth has exceeded 20%.
The share units Business Division had 5.50 billion, down 2% from a year ago. However, if we ignore the effect of Office Offer, the manufacturer can get a growth of 1%.
OU Entertainment and Devices Division managed to get 1.95 billion dollars in revenue, but it is 1% less than last year.
Revenues from Online Services Division is 697 million dollars, which is 9% more than last year. Revenues from online advertising increased by 15%.
And here at the department Windows & Windows Live Division is not going so well. Revenue of $ 3.24 billion was 33% less than a year ago. Even excluding the impact of Windows Upgrade Offer and Windows 8 pre-sales through OEM channels significantly reduced by 9%.
The company attributed this decline of interest to the current version of Windows 8 and Windows RT.
