Nokia company support the idea of charging mobile devices without wires , in the notebook segment such experiments has been convicted by Dell. Meanwhile, the opportunity is still exotic, and not all consumers understand its urgency because existing technologies still imply the need for physical proximity of charger and phone.
According to industrial sources, in 2013, more smartphones will acquire the wireless charging. Now the leaders in this field are Nokia and Japanese manufacturers of smartphones, but LG and Samsung are trying to keep up with them. HTC will offer similar solutions in the current quarter. In addition, the U.S. operator Verizon Wireless Communications start offering smartphones with wireless charging.
Texas Instruments provides Nokia and HTC chips required to implement the wireless charging. IDT is also involved in the implementation of relevant chips, the company reached an agreement with Intel and Qualcomm.
