On exhibition Computex 2007 mainboard producers will demonstrate products on base of chipset AMD RD790 and chipset Intel X38. Both chipset are interesting : they support interface PCI Express 2.0. In case of AMD platform user have the possibility to use four video card in one system. However, Intel platform X38 , for the first time obtained the possibility to support Crossfire technology according to PCI Express x16 + PCI Express x16.
Gigabyte company in press releases reported that on Computex 2007 it will show not only two main-board on base of chipset Intel X38 (Ga -x38t-dq6 and Ga -x38-dq6) but also a main-board Ga -m790-dq6 on base of chipset AMD RD790. This last propose support to PCI Express 2.0 and four slots graphic card (4 X PCI Express x8) with processors Socket AM2+ and Ddr2-1066 memory , and also HyperTransport 3.0 bus.
Processor model Phenom FX will have Socket AM2+. This processor have four core and 2mb cache in the third level, default clock frequency will be in range 2.4-2.6 GHz. The announcement of this processor will took place during September. The first processors Socket AM2+, will be accessible to purchase in the following block.
All noted above Gigabyte mainboard belong to series Ultra Durable 2, which will ensure increased stability in work and overclocking.
