Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) has announced sales of hard drives SlimFITT in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Enterprise-class drives with capacity up to 900 GB, characterized by a peed of 10,500 r/ min, according to the manufacturer, they are designed to handle business-critical data.  SlimFITT Model size 2.5 inches with interface SAS 2.0 (6 Gb / s) has a body size of 3.5 inches.  Therefore it is suitable for rack and blade servers, which are designed for larger devices.  Drive Dimensions are 101.6 x 147.0 x 26.1 mm.  The advantages of  small form factor are low power consumption. In addition, hard drives SlimFITT corporate level indicators have improved stability and reliability. Thus, their capacity by 50% over the previous devices generation  , and a well-established data rate increased by 32%.  The new series of drives Toshiba first used two-stage head positioning Dual-Stage Head Positioning Actuator.  It improves the accuracy by about 30%, which is good for the overall stability and performance of the device. The series includes models AL13SEL900, AL13SEL600, AL13SEL450 AL13SEL300 with volume of 900, 600, 450 and 300 GB, respectively.  Average seek time in read mode is 3.7 ms, recording - 4.1 ms.
