Heriting the best features of their predecessor (Panasonic Toughbook 51), Panasonic Toughbook 52, new notebook are equipped with wide-format display, additional security, updated optional key : built-in wireless access module [3G] (UMTS/HSDPA or EV-DO).
The declared operation time is in the range 4-6 hours, depending on load. This new notebook successfully passed military standard test ( MIL-STD-810F ), in particular, Panasonic Toughbook 52 can handle drop from 75 cm height on any of six sides. The removable hard disk is capable to handle drop from height up to 90 cm. the keyboard in toughbook 52 is resistant to liquid.
Toughbook 52 will appear (In the market) during July, initially there is two configurations: standard (tentative price 1649 dollars) and improved (2499 dollars).
