Intel has struggled to diversify the application of Atom processor.  For example, Intel will release the processors Avoton for microserver and ValleyView - for tablets, mobile devices, and entry-level computers.  Assocaite talked about Silvermont processors Rangeley. They are a single-chip system combining up to eight cores at up to 2.4 GHz, depending on the model.  Each pair of cores share a 1MB second cache level.  Also, it is provided with a dual-channel memory controller, DDR3-1600 (up to 64 GB with ECC support or without it),  hub 16 lines PCI Express 2.0, controllers SATA (2 ports with a capacity of 6 Gb / s, four - 3 Gb / s), Ethernet , USB, and some I / O interfaces (eg, LPC, UART, SMBus, SPI). An important difference from Rangeley, for example, Avoton, will get a built-in cryptographic module, which will be implemented by the function Intel QuickAssist.  This technology supports encryption AES with 128 -, 192 - and 256-bit key, 3DES, DES, and Kasumi, and the possibility of public-key encryption, random number generation and authentication.  Cryptographic module performance depends directly on the model SKU and can reach 10 Gbit / s when using AES-128 (buffer size is 1 KB). Rangeley will be used in communications and networking equipment.  Depending on the configuration, SoC will be common indicator TDP, equal to 20 W (8 cores), 15 watts (4 cores), 8 W or 7 W (2 cores).
