Taiwanese ODM-manufacturer Compal Electronics this year plans to increase the share of profits from the release of non-notebook products from 20% to 26%, and in 2014, expects to increase it to 30%. Thus, in the current year notebooks volumes will increase from 40 million to 45 million.
The expected volumes of tablets this year will increase nearly five-fold, from 1.6 million to 10.8 million. In addition, Compal going to do Server Edition for HP and Dell, for this creates its own research center with a staff of 30 professionals.
