Researchers from the University of California at Santa Barbara have made An important step towards the creation of quantum computing, where according to some physicists there is the best laboratory in the world of quantum physics.  Scientists have managed to create a switch that controls the photon flux inside the chip.  The complexity of implementing this element was the fact that the time it takes to switch must be less than the lifetime of the photon . To solve this problem has been used a superconducting materials in the chip.  Due to this development it will be possible to control individual photons at the switch, as already mentioned, can be left open or closed for the entire flow.  According to the statement of Professor Yin (Yi Yin), along with colleagues they have achieved previously unattainable speed control if photons, which is an important milestone on the road to quantum computing.
