Nokia has released a report on its activities during the first quarter this year.  The first quarter 2013 brought the company 5.9 billion euros in revenue, which is significantly below the  figure of final quarter  2012 , equal to 8 billion euros, but in line with seasonal patterns.
According to manufacturer estimates, Nokia Group third quarter in a row demonstrates an operating profit from core operations, achieving profitability in the first quarter of 3.1%. Â Devices & Services division of the second quarter in a row receives an operating profit from core operations, and its profit margin is 0.1%. Â Finally, Nokia Siemens Networks completes the fourth consecutive quarter of operating profit from core operations and profitability of the unit is equal to 7.0%.
If we follow the rules of  IFRS accounting : in the first quarter, the company incurred an operating loss of 150 million euros.  For comparison, in the previous quarter was recorded a profit of 427 million euros.

Income of Devices & Services division amounted to ˆ 2.9 billion, which is 25% less than in the previous quarter.
During the quarter, managed to sell 55.8 million cell phones, which is 30% less than in the previous quarter. Â According to the manufacturer, the decline is caused by increased competition.
At the same time, sales of smartphones Lumia managed to increase by 27% to 5.6 million units in quantitative terms. Â
Income Nokia Siemens Networks decreased vt 30% to $ 2.8 billion due to seasonal factors.
