  Today we will test four cooler from different price segments. The first cooler is released by cooler master company : model hyper TX.  The cost of this cooler is 22 US dollars. In addition to the well known Thermaltake big typhoon in standard assembly with 1400 rp/min fan and  38-40 US dollars price. From spire company we will test the cooler VertiCool IV with one standard fan , fourier III and Fourier IV . DDR2 corsair dominator TWIN2X2048-9136C5D (SPD: 1142 MHz, 5-5-5-18, 2.1 V); Disk : SATA- II 320 Gb, Hitachi (HDT725032VLA360), 7200 rp/min, 16 mb., NCQ; As always processor overclock was limited by the effectiveness of weakest model . Thus our four core processor without vcore increase was overclocked to only 2900 MHz (+ 20.8%): All automatic fan adjustment systems were switched off. All tests were executed under the operating system Windows XP professional edition SP2. For monitoring the processor temperature we used speedFan version 4.32, which read temperature directly from the processors registers  (CPU sensor). For heat up phase we used OCCT (Overclock checking tool) version 1.1.0 with 25- minute period . Let us note that TAT program result in higher processor temperature ( average 4-5 degrees higher than OCCT ); however, at higher frequency OCCT result on error while TAT under the same conditions continues to work without problem. During test , room temperature was set to 27.5-28 degree Celsius . Let us pass to the obtained result : Let us note that Spire diamondCool is very weak cooler with low cooling efficiency, and furthermore noisy. VertiCool IV and both Fourier also has modest performance , since even at the maximum fans rotations frequency they are not capable to compete with Cooler master witch cost is twice cheaper .Thermaltake big typhoon handle very well the processor overclock and heat do not create any problems. let us pass to the noise result : In my view, the noise level  which does not exceed 38 dB is acceptable , but not more. Actually the quietest works is provided with spire fourier IV (35.4 dB). The Absolute noise level champion today is Spire fourier IV, since with the maximum fan speed (~3280 rp/min) this cooler remain the quietest.   Related Products :
