GlobalFoundries company accepted the production of single-chip systems with 28 nm for Rockchip company . It is noted that the production will be an important HKMG technology, involving the use of materials with a dielectric constant greater than that of silicon dioxide. In particular, Rockchip gave GlobalFoundries orders for the release of SoC models RK3188 and RK3168, including computational core microarchitecture ARM Cortex-A9.
