AMD announced its readiness to fight for an increase in its market share in the server segment by the announcement in 2014 of new x86-compatible CPUs (including hybrid), and the release of its first server processors with ARM-architecture. AMD believes that ARM and x86 architectures are equally important for the development of the whole industry. The x86 platform will play an important role both in the consumer sector of the market, as well as in the server. However, ARM-architecture will opens up new prospects, including new operating systems.
Place in the market, according to AMD head , will be enough for both ARM-making, and for x86-compatible products. Both options the company will use in the coming years to strengthen its position in the market. Related Products :
