Intel presented the technology of optical transmission MXC, developed in conjunction with engineers Corning Cable Systems. The solution is able to provide up to 1.6 Tbit / s. Furthermore, MXC is able to transmit optical signals over cables with a length of 300 meters at a speed of 25 Gbit / s. It is assumed that MXC will be applied for the connection of servers in data centers. Details of the decision will be presented at the autumn session of the Intel Developer Forum. | ||
