The overclocking abilities of Pentium e2xxx processors was limited by the overclock in the system bus : The so-called FSB wall, which only in exceptional cases allow to get above 400 MHz. In this case overclockers hopes were connected with the release of Pentium e2xxx  models with higher coefficient and with the passage on M0 stepping , the deliveries of such processors began in the second-half of the past month. We already reported that motherboard producers needs the engineering models of dual core processors Pentium stepping M0 with default frequency 2.4 GHz to test its compatibility  . Some producers even included this last in the list of compatible processor under the name  Pentium e2220. This engineering model fell in the hands of one Turkish enthusiast, who published a report about its overclocking experience. The default processor voltage is equal to 1.2 v. using air cooler zalman CNPS9700 LED, the processor was overclocked to 3456 MHz with 1.55 v. the processor temperature in the rest state in this case was 41-43 degree Celsius. The author of experiment did not verify the maximum overclock limit on the system bus, The frequency 3456 MHz was achieved due to the high default multiplier 12x with system bus frequency 288 MHz. ...
