The integrated chipsets do not attempt to keep up with discrete graphic card in the speed plan , but try to correspond to all urgent requirements on the functional possibilities level . As reports associate, the integrated chipset AMD 690G recently obtained a BIOS update , which brought the support of many important functions. Concerning the possibilities of the integrated graphic core, it can now decode high resolution video (720p and 1080p), using standards codecs MPEG-2, VC-1 and H.264. The possibility of work with each of them is determined by the central processor frequency , which is established in the motherboard. For example, for the work with MPEG-2 it is sufficient to have a dual core processor athlon 64 X2 with 1.8 GHz frequency . For decoding VC-1 will be required a processor with frequency not less than 2.2 GHz, but H.264 requires a processor with 2.4 GHz frequency . There are also some requirements for the memory - its volume must be not less than 1Gb, and type not lower than DDR 2-667. New bios also offers possibilities for the central processor overclock . There is new functions to change the voltage , memory latencies , processor multiplier and system bus hyperTransport. The function overdrive allow to overclock the integrated graphic core by 50-100 MHz. It is pleasant, when such update are obtained with a simple BIOS update . | ||
