We already reported that the processor athlon 64 X2 6400+ (3.2 GHz) was originally intended for OEM- segment; therefore AMD decided to facilitate its assembly . Processors have the so-called assembly WOF (without fan ) and it will be supplied by AMD company in the server and mobile segments. They are packed in smaller size Box , in this case the producer supplies three year guarantee. Wholesale price of the model athlon 64 X2 6400+ (3.2 GHz)  proved to be higher than the expected - $251 instead of $239. This is sufficiently expensive for such performance and without the presence of any cooler, and whose frequency is only 200 MHz higher than the model athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3.0 GHz), which is proposed in the box with cooler for $178. The processor athlon 64 X2 6400+ is already in sale in Japanese stores, with limited copies quantity  . This processor has the marking form ADX6400CZWOF : witch indicates the absence of cooler in the delivery set. Directly the processor cover has  another marking - ADX6400IAA6CZ : So before us the dual core processor athlon 64 X2 6400+ with 2 X 1 mb cache in the second level, TDP level  is not more than 125 W, and based on the F3 stepping core windsor (90 nm). This copy is released in 22- Th week 2007, i.e., during June or even at the end of May! The fundamental characteristics of this processor are noted on the box in the left upper angle. In Japanese retail the processor athlon 64 X2 6400+ is proposed for $281, that is $30 higher than the wholesale cost.   Related Products :
