Back in April this year, we were confident that the chipsets Intel ninth series, which will coincide with the appearance of 14-nm processors Broadwell, provide support for perspective interface SATA Express, the specification of which were approved in August . The data transfer speed to be connected through this interface drives theoretically could be up to 16 Gbit / s. Although now support for SATA Express in the chipset Intel Z97 is no longer relevant.  Motherboards based on Intel Z97 should work with processors Broadwell-K, which will be released in late 2014. In fact, Intel Z97 is not much different from Intel Z87, with the exception of support for newer processors. It is expected that the chip Intel C230 (Sunrise Point) will provide not only support the server processors Skylake generation, but the interface SATA Express.
