Some of the first products on base of chipset AMD RD790 was the motherboard gigabyte GA -MA790-Dq6. This last allow to install four video card simultaneously, which would work according to 4 x PCI express x8. The layout of these graphic slots has one essential deficiency - they are located too closely each to other, and video card with big cooler simply could not be placed in four pieces. The motherboard MSI K9A2 platinum on base of chipset AMD RD790 will be deprived of this deficiency, since the PCI express x16 slots it located with dual interval. Certainly, the lowest slot do not leaves much space for video card cooling system , but this layout is more advantageous from the side video card cooling conditions .  When user install only two video card, they work according to PCI express x16 + PCI express x16. But if we add two video card, then all slots pass to the operation mode PCI express x4. Motherboards with this quantity of graphic slots will be used for the support of first triple crossFire, and then Quad crossFire.
