Finally the announcement of barcelona processors took place today. We start from the wholesale prices of four core processor series opteron 83xx: Opteron 8350 (2.0 GHz, ACP=75 W) - > $1019; Opteron 8347 (1.9 GHz, ACP=75 W) - > $786; Opteron 8347 HE (1.9 GHz, ACP=55 W) - > $873; Opteron 8346 HE (1.8 GHz, ACP=55 W) - > $698. With the Release of barcelona processors AMD company  introduces the new energy characteristic : ACP (Average CPU power), which is the average energy consumption level of processor cores, built-in memory controller and hyperTransport channels with processor load using standard applications. It is necessary to note that the load level of processor in this case is sufficiently high in order to give a clear idea about the processor energy consumption level  under severe conditions. AMD will continue to supply its processors with the old energy characteristic, known to us as TDP. The processors series opteron 23xx have the following wholesale prices: Opteron 2350 (2.0 GHz, ACP=75 W) - > $389; Opteron 2347 (1.9 GHz, ACP=75 W) - > $316; Opteron 2347 HE (1.9 GHz, ACP=55 W) - > $377; Opteron 2346 HE (1.8 GHz, ACP=55 W) - > $255; Opteron 2344 HE (1.7 GHz, ACP=55 W) - > $209. The prices of other AMD processors  remained the same. No new models in other families was presented. Barcelona processors  are based on BA stepping with 65 nm core. In the press release AMD called Barcelona : "As the most advanced processor with x86 architecture " . and they indicates its destination : "demanding to the data processing centers resources".
