As it was expected, abit will propose two analogous motherboards on base of the chipset intel x38: both with DDR3 SDRAM support and compatible with old DDR2 memory . Both motherboards will have approximately identical design; therefore in detail let us check the example based on DDR3 solution : Abit IX 38- MAX tiger force. On this motherboard there are three slots PCI express x16. The strong sides of abit proposal consist in the application of high-quality element base (solid-state capacitors Japanese production) and the digital processor power converter . Furthermore, Abit IX 38- MAX tiger force has a button on rear panel to clear the CMOS. The chipset Cooling system is also well done. Completely effective active cooler is established on the north bridge. The remaining heating components on the motherboard are cooled by passive radiators.
