According to sources, Intel has invested heavily in the development of chips from Taiwan. Among them - the company Egalax-empia Technology (EETI), which develops and produces controllers for touchscreens supplier of controllers for flash drives SKYMEDI, as well as supplier of SoC-making Aspeed Technology. Size of investment and partnership details do not reveal sources. And Intel itself has not commented on this information.
It is worth noting that Intel is not the only company that actively invests in Taiwanese developers. For example, a subsidiary of Exar Corporation recently announced the purchase of shares of Taiwanese firms Integrated Memory Logic. The transaction is expected to complete on September 19 this year. And at the end of May the company Microchip Technology, specializing in micro-controllers, chips for analog and mixed signal processing, announced the acquisition of Bluetooth-vendor solutions with low power consumption and wireless solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT).
