First processors Intel, made on 14-nanometer technology, should appear at the end of the year. This model will be increased energy efficiency microarchitecture Broadwell, relating to the new series of Core M, while their desktop cousins may linger until next summer. Production of 14-nm technology was delayed due to a lower than expected level of yield crystals, as well as large stocks of the previous generation.
In spite of the constant changes in the timing of production, processors with topological 14 nm will be shown at the autumn session of the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in San Francisco, which will be held from 9 to 11 September. Also, Intel is going to demonstrate 10-nm wafer.
Some time ago, Intel managed to get orders for chips at 14-nm technology to Panasonic . According to popular belief, Intel is trying to load the idle capacity, but at a different point of view, in the future, Intel will actively undertake contract manufacturing of chips. In particular, Intel is interested in producing A9 processors for Apple, and the close relationship between these companies can help Intel get orders . Related Products :
