According to the research agency analysts IDC, in the second quarter of 2014 was 32.5 million shipped monitors that 2.9% less than the same period last year. Experts believe that the market will continue to move to monitor the descending path, and for the entire 2018 will be sold around 107 million units of the respective products.
The report stated that the monitors with LED backlight occupy 93% of the total market, which is 10.5% more than last year. The most common steel widescreen monitors sizes of 21 inches (22.5%), while the total percentage of monitors with an aspect ratio of 16: 9 was 82.4%. Monitors with support for touch input is only 0.4%, with most of them sold in the United States.
The balance of power between producers remained virtually unchanged compared to the second quarter of 2013.
