Representatives Oculus VR recognize that the existing technology of virtual reality is still very far from perfect - partly for this reason, Rift developers are in no hurry to output the finished product to the market. Meanwhile, having its own work in this area (Project Morpheus), Sony is already thinking about how to make sense of presence in virtual reality more believable.
According to the resource CNet, Sony engineers are considering using a wearable camera with 360 degrees and watching the movements of the user to simulate human immersion in someone else's body.
One of the prototypes of Sony is a bezel with six cameras, provides a panoramic shooting. Worn on the head unit allows you to record everything that happens with 360 degrees. The broadcasted image on virtual reality helmet is bind to the movements of the head and eye of the observer, it is possible to create the illusion of presence in the place where the survey is conducted.
Sony also tries to mimic the tactile sensations by means of special devices worn on the fingers. Perhaps these developments will be used in mass-produced Sony products. Related Products :
