Some time ago between Samsung and Microsoft was disagreement over royalties payments, on which the last of the companies should receive in exchange for the ability to use patents owned by it.  Mandatory contributions include the agreement of 2011, but Samsung felt that Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's break last agreement , and thus eliminates the need to pay royalties. In the end, Samsung has paid full amount of deductions and the company was ready to remove the dispute peacefully, but the South Korean giant's unwillingness to pay a penalty for late payment caused Microsoft to go to court.   From the published documents it is known that in 2013, on payment of Microsoft, Samsung has spent more than $ 1 billion, or, according to some, a little more than $ 3 for each device sold under the operating system Android.  What is typical, Microsoft is trying to recover from Samsung much smaller amount -  $ 6.9 million - as interest for late payment.
