Motherboards are able to control the speed of its fans: as user wish or automatically depending on cooled components temperature. Video chip have special utility for temperature Monitoring , video card are able to control the fan speed depending on load. Various control panel kinds allow to control the fans rotation speed , as well as display information about components temperature and fans rotation speed . Finally, in the latest market trends there's a power supplies with advanced capabilities setting and monitoring performance. As example let us note the power supplies series Odin GT from Gigabyte production. NVIDIA and intel Attempts to unite all control and monitoring functions in one program (the utility nTune or Extreme Tuning Utility ). Today NVIDIA provided an open standard Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA), which would improve the control of cooling systems and power system used in computers .  Within this concept of power supplies, water block and power units will be given a special controller, connected to the motherboard through USB 2.0. These controllers will monitor the fans rotation speed , pump operation mode and the voltage , amperage in power supply. If the temperature indicators reach a critical importance , user will be alerted by light-Signaling System on the front block with special displays information or LEDs.  Fans Speed will depend on user needs for different applications. For example, while watching DVD fans can automatically slow down to the silent operation mode . For compatibility with ESA , components must be equipped with temperature sensors and USB connections 2.0 support. NVIDIA decided to support the initiative of leading computer manufacturers like Dell and HP, as well as the largest motherboard manufacturers (Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, XFX, EVGA). In addition to cooling systems and power supplies manufacturers : Thermaltake, CoolerMaster, Tagan, SliverStone, PC Power & Cooling. OCZ Technology Company announced its participation in the ESA program, in a separate press release.
