Swedish manufacturer Fractal Design has posted on its website a description of a new fans Venturi, which is characterized by a number of interesting engineering solutions and a wide range of possible applications. The family is divided into two series fans: HF Series models with narrow blades and adapters to reduce the rated speed are combined with models of the series HP PWM, which are characterized by high productivity (High Performance) and PWM speed control.
If the number of blades HF series ranges from 9 to 11 pieces, depending on size (120 or 140 mm), then a series of HP PWM larger number of blades is not more than 7 pieces. All fans Venturi are equipped with hydrodynamic bearings with the estimated longevity 150,000 hours. The rotor is balanced by the magnetic balancer to reduce the load on the bearing in order to increase its service life. The clearance between the blades of the fan impeller and the frame does not exceed 1.2 mm.
For fan size 140 mm attached additional angles, allowing them to strengthen hole for the fan size 120 mm. Fan frame itself reinforced with fiberglass.
The minimum voltage required to start the fan series HF, is 4 V. Series HP PWM fans run at 6, they can be rotated at a speed of 400 r / min and create the noise level to 10 dBA. They also attached a power strip, allowing to connect to a single port on the motherboard with two fans PWM control function.
