The Chinese company ZTE was not the only manufacturer of smartphones at MWC 2015 to demonstrate the ability to identify the user in the eyes. Note that ZTE uses an algorithm unique storage structure of blood vessels of the human eye.
But the Japanese company Fujitsu, at MWC 2015 has demonstrated a prototype smartphone with a proprietary system user identification on the image of the eye iris . Unit weight not more than one gram of incorporated smartphone display on the front panel, it consists of an infrared LED and an infrared camera, which are spaced some distance apart.
The developers claim that the algorithm requires no more than a second on the recognition of the user, and the probability of error is less than one in ten thousand attempts. You can identify a person, even if he is wearing glasses or contact lenses.
Fujitsu is going to offer the module identification of its customers by the end of March 2016. Similar technology will be offered for laptops and tablets. Fujitsu expects the iris pattern will be as reliable identifier of the person as a fingerprint or palm pattern. Such identification systems will become common in the corporate market sector .
