On a home event, the South Korean company SK Hynix demonstrated wafer with memory chips such as HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) second generation. Just recently, NVIDIA has admitted that the video cards based on GPU architecture Pascal will arm 32 GB of memory type HBM.
Memory HBM second generation will be based on the basic crystal capacity 8 Gb. Such crystals in a stack with through TSVs-compounds may be four, and eight. Total capacity HBM chip 2 can thus be 32 Gbps (4 GB) and 64 GB (8 GB). To confer on the video card GPU Pascal memory volume of 32 GB will need a total of four chips HBM 2 with up to 8 GB capacity.
