South Korean competitor Toshiba in the segment of solid-state memory in the face of the company SK Hynix announced its readiness to buy the core assets of the Japanese corporation among the first. Its example was followed by Foxconn representatives , incidentally confirming the possibility, if necessary, to enter into alliances with other investors. A few days ago, Reuters reported with reference to Nikkei that both potential buyers are ready to act together.
Japanese media reported that Foxconn on its own initiative turned to SK Hynix, although previously clearly stated that it did not want to participate in transactions that cause the interest of authorities. Since SK Hynix also releases memory, participation of this party in the transaction will greatly delay the process of its preparation.
