The announcement of NVIDIA chipset nForce 780i SLI is scheduled for 17 December, and motherboard manufacturers as always are not satisfied with the role of distributors for reference design products. Today appeared the photos of motherboard based on chipset nForce 780i SLI original design from Asus and MSI .
We start with Asus named P5N-T Deluxe, which provides support for three slots PCI Express x16 working at full speed. Next to the north bridge chip we have the nForce 200 SLI chip, which gives the properties of chipsets support to PCI Express 2.0.
Only two blue slots are working at PCI Express 2.0, the black slot has the regime PCI Express 1.1, but the data exchange speed still consistent with PCI Express x16.

The MSI motherboards is based on chipset nForce 780i SLI. The first products is called MSI P7N Diamond : The chip nForce 200 SLI is located between the blue slot PCI Express x16, and the entire fee place witch allows to place four video card.
MSI P7N Platinum is close to the reference layout, it has only three slots PCI Express x16.
Both motherboards support Triple SLI technology, they will be available on sale in the first quarter in the next year. Note that the nForce 790i SLI chipset with DDR-3 support will appear in a couple of months.
