Nokia has proved that the German automakers are very interested in the information security of their products, which in a few years will require accurate digital maps for independent movement on the streets and highways.
Head of Daimler AG Dieter Zetsche in an interview with the German media recently said he would not rule out the possibility of cooperation with Apple and Google in various areas, including the creation of joint ventures. However, the last possibility is considered only in a theoretical context. According to Zetsche, Google and Apple are interested in creating a complete ecosystem of information in the car, and collaboration with these companies can be beneficial to both sides.
Daimler is even ready to agree to participate in a joint venture to produce cars, but the main condition of the company is being involved in the sale and servicing of finished products.
