This became possible due to the fact that in some of the new motherboards company used a new controller Intel, which originally applied only to the interface USB 3.1.
And now, after the certification of Intel product , you can use all the features of the controller. At the moment, the update is available for the motherboard Z170X-Gaming G1, Z170X-Gaming GT and Z170X-Gaming 7.
Interface Thunderbolt 3 will be available through the port USB 3.1 Type-C. In addition to data transmission rate up to 40 Gbit / s, via the interface 3 through the port Thunderbolt USB Type-C video stream can be output in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) at a rate of 60 cd / s.
