As planned, this week the party announced that it has signed a memorandum of intent for the transfer of Toshiba's Oita Prefecture to Sony company .
The company was launched in 2004, it has a production area 48,800 square meters, and produces memory controllers and image sensors using silicon wafers 300 mm in size. Of course, Sony in this transaction is only interested in the ability to produce image sensors for digital cameras. Employees of Toshiba's number of 1,100 people will be offered the opportunity to go to work in Sony. Itself Toshiba will receive for their needs image sensors from Sony, which will be managed by its former company. It is estimated that the deal will allow Sony to produce more sensors for the images to be in high demand. Toshiba will be able to focus on other activities.
