In the second quarter , Intel company will present the chipset P45, which not only will propose PCI Express 2.0 support for mass user, but risks to become the last chipset with classical two-chip layout. In the following year Intel chipset will have only one microcircuit, which realizes the basic functions of south bridge, and north bridge will move directly to the processor.
Intel P45 Chipset will also propose CrossFire support according to PCI Express x8 + PCI Express x8. This Chipset support processors with 1333 MHz bus, up to 8 Gb Ddr3-1333 memory or 16 Gb Ddr2-800 memory , which will be able to work in dual channel regime. This chipset will get the new south bridges series ICH10.
Associate was able to test the chipset Intel P45 and its overclocking potential. As processor was used the newest dual core Core 2 duo E8500 (3.16 GHz) - also in engineering model status .
Overclock in the system bus reach 441 MHz and the processor reached the frequency 4187 MHz - This is not bad for early motherboard model . Related Products :
