POSTER:computer news || GOOGLE LAUNCHED INDEXING HTTPS-PAGES
DATE:2015-12-18
Yesterday, Google announced the launch of its full-fledged search engine indexing HTTPS-pages.
As noted in the company, to correctly index requires the following conditions:
the page is not closed by indexing the file in robots.txt;
it does not redirect users onto or through an unprotected HTTP-page;
it does not contain the attribute rel = referring to the HTTP-page meta noindex robots and external links to HTTP-page;
Sitemap contains a URL in the format does not include the HTTPS or HTTP-version of the URL;
Server has genuine TLS-certificate.
From the perspective of network security is quite logical and clear - the company does not want to direct users to HTTPS-page that redirects to an insecure HTTP-page. Also, new rules are pushing indexing system administrators to switch to HTTPS. By the way, protected protocol has already passed many large public resources .
Recall that the protocol HTTPS - a modification of HTTP to protect transmitted data.
