S3 Graphics company is acting under  VIA and continues to develop graphical solutions, which on the functionality level are not inferior to competing products from AMD and NVIDIA. As example yesterday was the  announcement of video chip S3 Chrome 400, which support new  future such as DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0. All classical connection DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort,D- sub- will be supported . As in case of AMD products , sound transmission through HDMI interface will not require the use of audio internal connection to the video card . Chrome 400 video chip support HDMI interface version 1.2. ChromotionHD 2.0 engine ensures the hardware acceleration of  H.264, Vc-1, Mpeg2-hd, Wmv-hd, Mpeg-4 and AVS decoding . The Technology AcceleRAM is called to use a part of memory system  for graphic system needs . The energy-saving technology PowerWise ensure a good relationship of productivity and speed, and in the final analysis it will allow to create the passively cooled graphical solutions. Chrome 400 chips will be used, also, in mobile products. Fujitsu company will be occupied By the production of 65 nm Chrome 400 chips. Let us note that the memory bus will be limited to (64 bits); therefore the performance level will not be high. There is two videochip: Chrome 440 and Chrome 430.
