Intel  p45 chipset will be released in the following block, however, in March exhibition ceBIT 2008 motherboard producers will demonstrate products on base of this chipsets . The functionality of south bridges series ICH10 is not studied completely, but some sources declare about the absence of  good old PCI interface support  . The north bridge p45 will support PCI express 2.0 interface , moreover the motherboard can work with two slots PCI express x16 according to PCI express x8 + PCI express x8. The system bus and memory support  will be limited to 1333 MHz and DDR 3-1333 respectively. Intel is assembled to release the slightly reduced analog Of p45 called : Intel p43. This chipset will lose the support of two PCI express x16 , and the memory frequency will be limited to DDR 3-1066 regime. DDR 2-1066  will be also supported. It is important to note that the number  of supported memory module in one channel will remain as before, and motherboard on base Of Intel p43 can be equipped with four slots DIMM. With 2 Gb modules the total memory volume will reach 16 Gb. Actually, Intel p45 and Intel p43 chipsets will be made from the same crystals. But here for the production Of p43 will be used the worse  copies.  Intel p43 will cost $34, whereas the wholesale price Of Intel p45 will reach $40. Related Products :
