In 2014, HTC supported Microsoft and introduced a flagship smartphone HTC One M8 based on the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. And at the moment, this is the last Taiwanese smartphone platform from Microsoft. But soon this may change: according to the latest rumors, HTC with Microsoft will present this year's smartphone on Windows 10 Mobile.
The reason for the rumors was the job description of the director department on work with clients in Taipei (Taiwan capital). The job description says that the leader will be involved in the project, whose goal is to create a product portfolio, which will be centered around the operating systems Windows 10 Mobile and devices, applications and HTC services. Also, the manager will have to deal with all matters of business development and sales of products with the HTC.
It is known that Microsoft smartphones are not selling well, and the US company is looking for new partners to offer as many as 10 devices based on Windows Mobile. It is reported that manufacturers such as VAIO and HP plan to release a device on the platform, and perhaps to be joined by the HTC. In any case, it will be interesting to see what will offer the Taiwanese company, since it is now going through hard times, and it is important for the success of each device.
